Georgina is a doctoral student at the University of Toronto whose research operates at the intersection of medicine, philosophy, and literature in late medieval and early modern Spain. Focusing on 15th- to 17th-century texts, her work examines how medical treatises and metaphysical debates over the body and soul informed literary representations of corporality. Through this lens, she explores how authors translated shifting understandings of the physical body into reflections of broader societal, political, and cultural anxieties.
